Danielle Cugliari
Danielle Cugliari, Sales Director

Tell us what you do?

I help build East Room's vital and growing community. An integral aspect of my role is to foster relationships and understand everyones current and future needs. In turn, contributing to the overall growth of each member who comes in our doors.

How did you end up working for East Room?

I've always had a love for design and immediately fell in love with East Room's unique and inspiring aesthetic. Soon after realizing that East Room was far more than just a beautiful space and wanted to have a hand in a company that is united by a passion for culture, creativity and community.

What is your biggest learning so far?

Not to sound too cliché, but the power of community and the impact of genuine hospitality. East Room feels like a home away from home which is a result of the individuals here and the authentic relationships that subsequently develop.

What is your favourite aspect of working for East Room?

Creating shared experiences and connections. It's incredibly fulfilling to have an impact on a diverse membership base and watch our members work come to life.

Bailey Melville, Operations Director

Tell us what you do?

Oversee all aspects of East Room! From managing our community teams, all of our locations to implementing and developing procedures that support the overall business strategy.

How did you end up working for East Room?

It's been a while now! I heard about East Room through colleagues of the job I worked at the time, had an interview and got the position. At the time, I was studying in design, so I fell in love with the space, stuck around and here we are years later!

What is your biggest learning so far?

Going with the flow! As many systems as we can put in place to get ahead and foresee situations, working with so many unique individuals shows that sometimes there isn't one solution for everything. I've learned how to develop approaches that can be molded to fit each person's needs.

What is your favourite aspect of working for East Room?

There's never a dull moment! From our team, the community, to the work I do on a daily basis. There is always something new and exciting happening.
Kassidy Finucan
Kassidy Finucan, Brand Manager

Tell us what you do?

As Brand Manager, I do a little bit of everything to shape East Room’s identity! Whether that be managing our social media, planning programming and events for members, building partnerships and more.

How did you end up working for East Room?

I had heard about East Room a few times at my last job and all the exciting things that went on there. After attending an event, I became curious about what a career at East Room could actually look like — and now we’re here!

What is your biggest learning so far?

Adaptability is key! In a world where changes occur daily, it’s crucial to anticipate the future and stay three steps ahead.

What is your favourite aspect of working for East Room?

Getting to meet so many interesting people! Fostering great relationships is key to my role, and it's amazing to see the constant outpuring of support we get from our friends and business partners all over.
Laima Alawi
Laima Alawi, Event Operations Manager

Tell us what you do?

I am the Events Operations Manager at East Room. My role involves coordinating events and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our shared workspace and events.

How did you end up working for East Room?

I came to East Room in a somewhat unconventional way - I used to work as a server at a local Italian restaurant where the owners of East Room were regular customers. One day, they reached out to me on social media with a job offer, and I jumped at the opportunity to join their team.

What is your biggest learing so far?

One of the biggest things I've learned since joining the East Room team is the importance of adaptability and creativity in a fast-paced, constantly-evolving industry. Working at East Room has challenged me to think outside the box, come up with innovative solutions, and pivot quickly when needed.

What is your favourite aspect of working for East Room?

My favourite aspect of working for East Room is the people. I feel incredibly lucky to work for such supportive and encouraging owners who truly care about their employees and their community. It's a great feeling to be a part of something that is making a positive impact in the lives of our members and the broader community.
Brielle Ford
Brielle Ford, Experience Manager

Tell us what you do?

I specialize in member care and satisfaction. My efforts are focused on maintaining a welcoming and cooperative space where members feel at ease and productive. I represent a touchpoint for members to come and have a break from their workday to chat, welcome their valuable guests, and ensure their day at East Room is running smoothly.

How did you end up working for East Room?

I felt a calling for a professional change and was inexplicably drawn to East Room. A funny full circle moment — I read all of these bios (that I’m now writing!) and thought: "this is where I want to work". The change felt right from the very first day, and the instant connection with the small team set the foundation for me to blossom.

What is your biggest learning so far?

How valuable a committed and skilled team can be. The support of the team empowers me to trust myself, make confident decisions, and experience grace when needed.

What is your favourite aspect of working for East Room?

Being a part of a vibrant, diverse, fun, and growing community. I feel very lucky to have found my way to East Room — I can't wait to see where it takes me!
Jil Fries
Jil Fries, Community Manager

Tell us what you do?

I'm a Community Manager here at East Room – first and foremost I'm invested in creating a warm, welcoming and collaborative environment. In addition, fostering a tightly knit community among all members. I'm the first person to greet them and lend support with various tasks throughout their day. Lastly, of course, upkeeping the beautiful space we inhabit.

How did you end up working for East Room?

I moved continents and was craving a sense of belonging and community. East Room welcomed me with open arms!

What is your biggest learning so far?

I love learning all about the unique individuals who use our space; my daily interaction with everyone means I tend to know the intricacies of everyone’s jobs and lives. It's remarkable how much one can learn by just lending an ear.

What is your favourite aspect of working for East Room?

No surprise here: The people! The banter!
Lillian Blasioli
Lillian Blasioli, Community Manager

Tell us what you do?

As a Community Manger, I strive to ensure that all members are welcomed into a space that is ran efficiently and effortlessly. As a first point of contact, it is my role to attend to the needs, inquiries and general comfort of new and existing members.

How did you end up working for East Room?

I worked for a company that catered for East Room, and it was exciting to come back to the space wondering what event they were having next. At a time where I was craving a job change, the stars aligned when I found out East Room was hiring!

What is your biggest learning so far?

Having a go-getter mentality. Our community has taught me that to put actions into place is by having the confidence to take that first step forward. Being surrounded by creatives in all fields and witnessing them find ways to connect and collaborate has been inspiring.

What is your favourite aspect of working for East Room?

Being able to converse with such an array of personalities everyday. You can feel that supportive & enthusiastic energy with everyone you come in contact with. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to be surrounded by diverse industries in my day-to-day life.

Tell us what you do?

Aside from being the first face you see when you come into the space, I foster a collaborative environment for our members. I handle day-to-day operations and support our community by ensuring they have the resources and connections they need to thrive.

How did you end up working for East Room?

Luckily for me a friend had reached out with an opportunity at East Room. Being surrounded by the beautiful space and team, it was a no brainer to join!

What is your biggest learning so far?

My biggest learning at East Room has been the true value of community and the importance of feeling supported by your team, whether you're a member or an employee. It’s a space where everyone looks out for each other, and that sense of connection makes all the difference in both personal and professional growth.

What is your favourite aspect of working for East Room?

The authentic relationships that form here are what make the experience special, and I’ve learned that fostering these connections is key to creating a meaningful and welcoming environment.
